Location When standing with palms facing forward, this muscle is located high on the thumb side of the forearm
Action Bends the elbow, bringing the forearm towards the upper arm. Particularly strong when the palms are facing down or towards the body.
Other names Supinator longus
Notes The brachioradialis performs the same movement as the biceps, but comes into play when the palms are facing down
